Tom was born in St. Peter April 30, 1952 to Richard and Alice (Dysart) Spiess. He graduated from St. Peter High School and never left the area he called home. He loved to spend time fishing on the Minnesota River, Lake Washington and on the local lakes; but above all, loved spending time with his family and friends. Tom loved the outdoors and spent many hours hunting and being with his dog, Lucy. He also enjoyed playing cards with his friends. He lived his life always putting others before himself and fighting for the underdog. It seemed like Tom was the jack of all trades and will be missed by many friends, especially those in his morning coffee crew.
