Susan Wettergren Lumsden

Susan Wettergren Lumsden, age 67 of St. Peter, died on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Benedictine Court in St. Peter.

Memorial visitation will be from 3:00 " 5:00 pm on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at St. Peter Funeral Home ~ Klein Chapel with a prayer service at 5:00 pm. A gathering of friends and family will continue at 5:30 pm at the Red Men Club in St. Peter. Urn burial will be at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed toward Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.

Susan Elizabeth was born on May 24, 1947 in St. Peter to Clarence and Helen (Heidemann) Wettergren. She was baptized and confirmed at the Church of the Holy Communion in St. Peter. She graduated from St. Peter High school in 1965 and then worked at Grandview in St. Peter in various positions for 20 years. Susan was united in marriage to Harry Lumsden on June 2, 1984 at the Church of the Holy Communion in St. Peter. They made their home in Henderson before later moving back to St. Peter. She was a member of the St. Peter American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed bingo, knitting and crocheting, cards and trips to Branson. She especially loved being with her nieces, nephews and other family.

Grateful for having shared in her life are her brothers: Richard (Janet) and Mark (Jackie); many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law; Rusha; brothers-in-law: Tom (Maureen) and Donald (Rachel). She was preceded in death by her brother: Steven; parents; father-in-law Donald Lumsden and her husband Harry.
