William C. "Bill" Pell, 69 of St. Peter, died on Monday, November 10, 2008 at River's Edge Hospital in St. Peter.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 14, 2008 at the Church of the Holy Communion, St. Peter with the Rev. Tom Harries officiating. Burial will be at Greenhill Cemetery in St. Peter. Visitation will be from 4-7 on Thursday evening at St. Peter Funeral Home " Klein Chapel.

William Pell was born on August 5, 1939 to Hartley and Verna Ridd Pell in St. Peter. He attended St. Peter Public School and graduated from St. Peter High School in 1957. He married Sandra Smith on June 18, 1960.

He established Pell Insurance and Real Estate in 1963. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren, as well as traveling, reading, golf and sporting events; as he was an avid Cubs fan. He played a lot of baseball in his time and was a coach for the Babe Ruth baseball program for many years.

William was a member of the Church of the Holy Communion and belonged to many civic organizations. He was chairman of the Board of First National Bank of Minnesota.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra "Sis", daughter Shari (Jim) Brostrom, sons: Lee (Linda) and Ben (Joanna), all of St. Peter. Six grandchildren: Matthew Brostrom, Kristina, Thomas and Brittany Pell, and Samantha and Lola Pell; sister, Morna Traffas of Pennsylvania and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
