Beulah Otting Martens, age 95 of St. Peter passed away on Friday, December 19, 2008 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter. Visitation will be held one half hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held at a later date. St. Peter Funeral Home - Klein Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Beulah was born on May 23, 1913 in LeSueur, MN to Julius and Elizabeth Otting. She attended school in Le Sueur, graduating in 1930. During her working years, she was employed as a dental assistant. On January 7, 1939 she married Herbert William Martens.
Beulah was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, music, playing bridge and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Grateful for having shared her life are her children: Craig (Diana) of Rochester, John (Barbara) of New Hope, Ron (Esther) of Excelsior, and Ann (Jim) Fischer of Rochester; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert in 1999, and brothers Julian and Alden.
