Virginia "Ginny" Ann (Sellner) Stamps, age 66, of St. Peter, MN passed away on February 10, 2009 after a 10-year battle with breast cancer. Ginny was born January 16, 1943 in Sleepy Eye, MN to Leo A. and Erna M. (Massey) Sellner. Ginny was happiest when her family gathered together and her grandchildren were a source of great joy. She loved any time spent with friends, whether meeting for Birthday Club, playing cards or simply having a glass of iced tea. Ginny worked in the Chemistry Dept. at Gustavus Adolphus College for 22 years and enjoyed being part of the college community and interacting with students. A devoted Catholic, Ginny was active in the church, serving formerly as a lay eucharistic minister and a member of the Social Concerns Committee.

Ginny liked to knit and crochet, especially afghans and baby blankets for family and friends. She was known for her friendly smile. In the words of one of her friends, "She was a treasure."

She is survived by her husband, Jerome; daughters Kristine Stamps, Patrice (David Pieczynski) Stamps and Catherine (Patrick) Berger; sister Patricia (Patrick) Reynolds; grandchildren Leo, Elliner, and August Berger; nephews Terry (Cheryl), Shawn (LuAnn) and Michael (Nancy) Reynolds; many great-nephews and nieces; and longtime friend and neighbor, Johnna Schmidt. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kenneth Sellner.
