What a wonderful life! 53 years of marriage to Monica Luskey. They met at the Kato Ballroom one night and were married six months later. The love affair produced five children: Mike (Nancy) of Waconia, Peggy (Greg) Nimps of Rosemount, Jane (Dave) Hoffman of Inver Grove Heights, Jean Vollmuth of Eagan and Pat of Ft. Lauderdale FL. The blessings continued with 10 grandchildren: Caleb, Josh, Daniel, Adam, Kelly, Kyle, Tara, Alex, Laura, and Hannah. Al was so proud of his military service in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was proud member of the American Legion in Cleveland for many years. He was a hard working man with two jobs to keep food on the table: one at the State hospital in St. Peter and the other as a school bus driver for the Cleveland School district. He will be remembered with a smile, a laugh, a witty comment and most of all his love and commitment to his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Eleanor Aufderhar; granddaughter Katie Sohm; and son-in-law Dave Vollmuth.
