David M. Thuringer, age 60 St. Peter passed away on March 4, 2009 at the River's Edge Hospital in St. Peter.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 9, 2009 at Jesus Assembly of God Church in St. Peter. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, St. Peter. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
David was born on December 12, 1948 in St. Paul MN to William and Jeanette (Van Roekel) Thuringer. He attended St. Paul schools, graduating in 1966. He was in the MN Army National Guard for 6 years, and worked at Brown & Bigelow in St. Paul for 17 years. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing and hunting.
David is survived by sons: Brian and Joseph; 2 grandchildren; mother: Jeanette; siblings: Pat Dion, Bill, Ron (Barb), Ed (Pam), John, Jan Vennemann, Mary Novy, Barb Sunderman and Ann (Jim) Neary; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1996.
