Carolyn M. Thomas, age 70 of St. Peter, passed away on March 19, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m., Monday, March 23, 2009 at St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Peter.
Carolyn was born on March 4, 1939 to Francis and Mardell (Stotz) Kayser. She attended school in St. Peter and was a 1958 graduate of St. Peter High School. She was united in marriage to Lawrence "Bud" Thomas on January 30, 1960. The couple resided in St. Peter where Carolyn worked at North Elementary School as a Teachers Aide. In 1983 she started doing child care and retired in 1997. Carolyn enjoyed crafting, puzzles, garage sales, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Bud Thomas of St. Peter; children, Brenda (Jim) Schoeb of Eagle Lake, and Wade (Tiffany) Thomas of St. Peter; grandchildren, Adam Schoeb, Brandon (Kristen) Thomas, and Brianna Thomas; great-grandchildren, Landon and Amayha Thomas; many other relatives and friends.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert.
