Martha Lydia Schouviller, age 88 of St. Peter, passed away Monday, July 6, 2009 at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2009 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Peter with Rev. Charles Degner officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Nicollet, MN. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday July 8, 2009 at St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Martha was born on December 10, 1920 to Louis and Marie (Dallman) Schroeder in Nicollet, MN. She attended school in the Nicollet area. She was united in marriage to Valerious "Bud" Schouviller on February 17, 1950 in Nicollet. Martha worked at various places including Cargill, Onan, and ADC for a total of 27 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church and was involved with the Ladies Aid. Martha enjoyed being outside, doing yard work, visiting with her family and friends, church activities and watching Twins baseball.
She is survived by her son, Allan and wife Tamara Schouviller of St. Peter; granddaughter, Erica Schouviller of North Mankato; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud in 1984; seven brothers; and 4 sisters.
