Marion L. Enter, age 89 of St. Peter passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the Grandview Good Samaritan Center in St. Peter.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 10, 2009 at St. Peter Funeral Home " Klein Chapel, with Pastor Shelly Olson officiating. Burial will be at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Marion was born on May 13, 1920 in Nicollet County to Fredrick and Anna (Drenttel) Block. She was raised in the Nicollet area and was schooled at Nicollet County Public Schools. In December of 1939, she was united in marriage to Wilbert Enter; they were later divorced. Marion then worked for 20 years for the St. Peter Community Hospital as a nurse's aid. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Nicollet and Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter. Marion enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and dancing. She had a special place in her heart for the residents at Grandview, helping them before needing help herself.
Marion is survived by a son, Myron "Mike" Enter and his wife Janice Fischer; 4 grandchildren: Brian Enter of St. Peter, Terry, Mark and Jim Enter and their families all of Mankato; sister, Florence Forbrook of Mankato; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Rickey, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
