Dennis Edwin Kraus, age 66 of Kasota, died Friday, July 24, 2009 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel with Rev. Jim Dye officiating. Burial will be in Kasota Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Dennis was born on March 23, 1943 in St. George, MN to Bernard and Frances (Waibel) Kraus. He grew up and attended school in the Kasota area. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962. He was married to K Greengo and they had one son J Burton. The couple later divorced. Dennis had worked at Northside Welding and later went on to do road construction for Komatz Construction. He enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and music.
He is survived by his son, J Burton Adamec and wife Connie of Duluth; grandchildren, Drew and Abby Jo; siblings Donald "Skinny" Kraus and his wife Jane of Kasota, Diane Lowe and husband Rodney "Jeep" of St. Clair, and Denise Kraus of Kasota; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Kraus; nephew, Mark; and his beloved dog, Pupper.
