Roland Schwichtenberg, age 71 of rural Kasota passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2009 .
Visitation will be from 5-7 on Friday, September 4, 2009 at St. Peter Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Roland was born on September 6, 1937 in Kasota to Carl and Esther (Bennett) Schwichtenberg. He graduated in the top of his class from St. Peter High School. Roland was a bus driver for the St. Peter School District for over 25 years. He enjoyed gardening, the Iowa State Fair, tractors and spending time with his family.
Roland is survived by his children: Carl (Julie) and James (Tiffany); grandchildren Noah and Leah; and sisters: Audrey Tate and Amy Schwichtenberg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nancy and grandchildren Brianna and Clarisa.
