Faye D. Krohn, 81, of St Peter died Thursday October 22 at her home surrounded by her family. Services will be at 11 am Tuesday, October 27 at Union Presbyterian Church in St Peter with Rev. Steven Boots officiating. Visitation is 4 pm to 7 pm Monday at St Peter Funeral Home " Klein Chapel and one hour prior to the services Tuesday at Union Presbyterian Church.
Faye was born April 13, 1928 to Ray and Ella (Mediger) Van Buskirk in Huron, South Dakota. She was united in marriage to Roy Krohn on December 14, 1946 in Ottawa, MN. The couple lived many years and raised their family in Kasota before retiring to Cross Lake. They enjoyed life in the north country for ten years before returning to St Peter. Faye was a life-long employee of St Peter State Hospital and represented public employees for many years as International Vice President of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). Faye is survived by husband Roy; children Diane (Roger) Hendrickson, Wade (Donna), and Chuck (Anita); 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren with three more on the way; sister Arlene and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister and four brothers; and baby great grandson Tristan.
