Elfrieda M Olson

Elfrieda M. Olson, age 89, of St. Peter, died on Saturday, December 20, 2009 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 21 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of St. Peter with Rev. Phil Schotzko officiating. Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. on Monday before the service at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in St. Peter. St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Elfrieda was born on August 13, 1920 in Bellechester, MN to Alfred and Dorothy (LaVann) Huneke. Elfrieda was united in marriage to Gordon Olson on October 29, 1939. She was a restaurant owner and worked for ADC for 23 years until 1983. She also worked for St. Peter schools assisting with office work into her 80's. Elfrieda was a member of the Church of St. Peter and the Catholic Daughter's. She enjoyed gardening, baking, canning, and taking care of others. She was a loving aunt and friend.

She is survived by her brother, Earl Huneke of Key Colony Beach, FL; niece, Holly (Greg) Moskwa of Burnsville; nephew, Mike Huneke of Rochester; and sister-in-law of Owatonna. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
