Saloma E. Willson, age 91 of St. Peter passed away on December 22, 2009 at Grandview Good Samaritan Center in St. Peter.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 28, 2009 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Peter with burial at Greenhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 pm on Sunday, December 27th at St. Peter Funeral Home " Klein Chapel and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Sally was born on September 9, 1918 in Town Penn, McLeod County to Frederick and Emma (Rickheim) Henke. She was schooled in Gibbon. On November 4, 1936 she married Peter Haack. They were later divorced. She then married Daniel Willson on July 27, 1967. Sally was a bartender in the St. Peter area for 53 years until retiring in 2005. She was a member of the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Pocahontas Tribe Oseola Council #30 many years ago. Sally was a sports fan, and enjoyed birds and fishing.
Sally is survived by her children: Frederick (Diane) Haack of St. Cloud, Arvid Haack of Cleveland, Ardina (Norman) Radke of Owatonna and Lorna (Bernhard) Mutzke of Le Sueur; 17 grandchildren;29 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Mildred Henke of St. Peter and Millie Henke of Le Sueur; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel in 1993, daughter-in-law Ethel Haack and 2 brothers: Melvin and Harold.
