Esther M Regenscheid

Esther M. Regenscheid, age 94 of St. Peter, died on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Oaklawm Health Care Center in Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter with Fr. Phil Schotzko officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Esther Mary was born on August 15, 1918 in Faribault, MN to John and Elizabeth Yainske. She was united in marriage to Leonard Regenscheid on October 30, 1950 in Wells, MN and they made their home on the farm in rural St. Peter. They celebrated 51 years of marriage before Leonard's passing on April 14, 2002. Esther was a member of the Church of St. Peter and was very active with the funeral lunch committee. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. She had a great love of her family; especially her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are sons: Glen (Tammy) and Ron (Stephanie) both of St. Peter; grandchildren: Jon, Shawn, Kayla, Natalie, Emily, Joseph and Jacob; siblings: Reely (Lawrence) Kahnke of Janesville, Phillip (Alice) Yainske of Wells, Margaret (Alvin) Kahnke of St. Clair and Lillian (Dick) Bush of Stewartville. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary; and siblings: Marvin, Ray and Maxine.
