Ariane "Reni" Celia Mord, age 85 of St. Peter, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Benedictine Living, St. Peter.

Ariane Celia was born January 15, 1939 in Littlefork, MN to Peter and Gladys (Lund) Ostlund. She is a 1957 graduate of Indus High School, where she played and was a cheerleader for hockey. On December 31, 1956 she was united in marriage to Victor R. Mord in Roseau, MN and she worked as a switchboard operator. They raised their family in Comstock, MN and Reni was a bookkeeper at the grain elevator. She was very active with her church, serving in ladies aid and as a Sunday School teacher. The family made several trips camping, and enjoying their lake cabin in summers. Reni and Vic spent hours restoring sheep wagons, and old cars. She also enjoyed baking, sewing, quilting, gardening and canning. Reni had a knack for always remembering people's birthdays. Most importantly, she cherished time with her family.
Left to remember Reni are her husband, Vic; children: Julie Shuman, Vicki (Mike) Bresnahan, and Candace (Renard) Bergstrom; grandchildren: Erin (Ben Reichenberg) Nosal, Evan (Kayla) Nosal, Will (Brianna) Bergstrom, Ben (Anna) Bergstrom, Miranda (Matthew) Johnson, and Bethany (Jackson) Kallio; great grandchildren: Victor, Carter, Charlie, Jack, Johanne, Peter, and Aili; sister, Joyce (Gordon) Chrisp; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and infant son, Peter.
