Arlene A. Willson, age 86 of Kasota, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021 in Mankato.
Memorial visitation will be on Wednesday, April 28th from 4:00-7:00pm at St. Peter Funeral Home. Private family interment will be at Kasota Hill Cemetery at a later date. Condolences for the family can be left at www.saintpeterfuneralhome.com.
Arlene was born in Winona Township, MN to Louis and Irma (Gensmer) Roemhildt on January 29, 1935. The family later moved to rural Cleveland. She was a “farmer at heart”. She was very resourceful; there was nothing she could not fix with duct tape, twine, and wire.
Arlene was united in marriage to William “Bill” Willson on November 9, 1952 in St. Peter, MN. During her lifetime she did daycare for 12 years, enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Arlene has been a member of the Henderson Congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1974. She taught her children that education was important and to always do your best. She taught them to be kind and love one another. She is our “Mom” and she will be greatly missed.
Arlene is survived by her children: Tim (Chris Eaton), Terri (Andy) Pongratz, Amy (Duane) Owens, Michael (Katrina), Jeanne (Ken) Doebbeling, and Donald (Tina); 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sister Verda Weiby; sisters-in-law: Marion and Joyce Willson; Carol and LaVera Roemhildt; many nieces and nephews; and a wonderful community and neighbors in Kasota.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill; granddaughter Ariel Joy Eaton -Willson, parents; and three brothers: Elmer, Ben and Trou.
