Beverly Wilma O’Malley, age 87, of Mankato and formerly of Le Center, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, with family by her side.
A Private Family Service will be held. St. Peter Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Beverly was born December 11, 1937, to Matthew and Wilma J. (Wall) Morrow Jr. in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She graduated from high school in Superior, Wyoming in 1955 and attended St. Benedict School of Nursing in Ogden, Utah, graduating in 1958.
Beverly moved to Le Center and married Glenn O’Malley in 1959, where she raised three children. Beverly was a registered nurse at local hospitals but most notably she was the first registered nurse at Central Health Care in Le Center and was the Director of Nursing for many years. Beverly was always known to have a place for everything and kept items in immaculate condition. Her love for her family was evident in every minute of her life, and she was always thinking of how she could support or help people.
Beverly enjoyed crocheting, baking – most notably for family birthdays, sending greeting cards, and especially being a Nana.
Beverly is survived by her spouse, Glenn O’Malley; three children, Tyler (Donna) O’Malley of Pennington, MN, Douglas (Ellen) O’Malley of Victoria, MN, and Cynthia (Phillip) Cook of Thompsonville, MI; granddaughter, Amy Jo (Carl) Nielsen of St. Peter; three great-grandchildren, Braelyn, Elias, and Raenah; several nieces and nephews.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Vera (William) Jones and Shirley (Robert) Sauer; special friend, Robert Phillips.
