Beverly Ann Sommers

Beverly A. Sommers, age 87 of St. Peter and formerly of Kasota, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Ecumen Sand Prairie.

Beverly Ann was born March 6, 1937 in Minneapolis to Norman and Rose (Krueger) Zindler. Her family moved to St. Cloud, where she graduated from Tech High School in 1955. Bev was united in marriage to Daniel Zabinski. Together they had two children and later divorced. Bev moved with her children to Kasota and obtained her certificate in bookkeeping from Mankato Commercial College. She was employed at Kayot in Mankato and later Young America, where she worked in their offices. Bev married Julius Sommers in 1979. She was a member of Kasota Presbyterian Church and she enjoyed playing cards and bingo, watching the MN Twins, and NASCAR, and most of all, spending time with her family. 

Left to remember Bev are her children: Vicki (Michael) Attenberger, and Scott (Kimberly) Zabinski; grandchildren: Ryan (Laura) Attenberger, Angela (Abe) VanBuskirk, Spencer (Tisha) Zabinski, Shawna (Paul Hanson) Zabinski, Courtney (Austin) Forstner, and Kylie (Jordan Karels) Fortin; great grandchildren: Andrew, Peyton, Macy, Amaya, Parker, Ayana, Zariah, Carter, Remington, Delanie and Hudson; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius in 2001; and brother Lee (Barb) Zindler.
