Christine "Chris" Marie Smith

Christine “Chris” Marie Smith, age 57, of St. Peter, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020. A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., with a time of sharing at noon, on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the St. Peter Funeral Home.

Chris was born on May 6, 1962 to Donn and Deanna Anderson. Christine graduated from Rapid City Central High School in 1980. Some of Christine’s hobbies included, wood burning, and learning about the stock market. Christine had a loving heart towards anyone. If she could help someone in any way she did no matter who it was. Even in these last days she wanted to make sure everyone else would be okay.

Christine is survived by her mother, Deanna Jacobs; sisters, Jodi (Mark) Ellis and Lori (Brett) Iron Cloud; nieces, Ashley, Brittany, and Katie; nephew, Erik; her 5 furry kids, Zaria, Stinker, Cruz, Hobie and Benji; several great-nieces and great-nephews; many friends who were dear to her heart, as well as her HerdStar family. She was preceded in death by her stepfathers, Carl Smith, and Leonard Jacobs; grandparents, Donald (Mildred) Schunot.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to any animal rescue of your choice. In memory of Chris, you are welcome to wear tie dye, or any bright colors to the Celebration of Life.

 As Chris would say, “Keep Moving Forward.”
