Craig Skjei

Craig Skjei, age 75 of St. Peter, passed away from complications of Lewy Body Dementia on May 26, 2020. A private service will be held. Condolences for the family can be left at www.saintpeterfuneralhome.com.

Craig was born in Dawson MN on September 29, 1944. He attended Madison High School and graduated from the University of Minnesota Morris with a degree in social work. He worked as a claims adjuster for 25 years.

Craig was a positive person who loved people, enjoyed life and had a great sense of humor. He was an avid fan of the Gophers and enjoyed playing golf and cards with his buddies. He was a very kind, loving, pure-hearted and generous person who cared about others. He was recognized for his devoted services to others in the community. He was a volunteer driver for the county, VINE and Meals on Wheels and also organized the bridge group for 13 years. Craig sang in the church choir and had a strong faith and deep love of Jesus Christ.

Craig dearly loved his family and friends. He will truly be missed, always loved and always remembered.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Craig is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Doreen; daughter Stephanie (Caleb) Howerton; grandson Cannon; sister, Becky (Dennis) Rasmussen; and many relatives and friends.

Our loving husband, father, grandfather and friend will live on in our hearts forever. We will cherish all the wonderful memories. Peace be with Craig as he is now with his Lord.
