Dale A. Brandt

Dale A. Brandt, age 63 of St. Peter, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023 in Clarksville, TN.

Dale Allen was born July 31, 1959 in Mankato to Wilbert E. and Catherine M (Volk) Brandt. He graduated from St. Peter High School in 1977 and was united in marriage to Lorraine Thorson on September 17, 1977. Dale joined the family business, Brandt Auto Parts, until its sale in 2019. Dale also worked at Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter in the custodial department, retiring in 2022.

Dale loved cars, and everything about them. He also enjoyed camping, gardening, meals with family and friends, his morning coffee group, Elvis and road trips. Most of all he loved being a grandpa and great grandpa. He will be remembered as thoughtful, caring and always willing to help others. 

Left to remember Dale are his children: Michael, Jeffrey and Corie (Dan) Meger; grandchildren: Brianna, Ashley, Chelsey, Madeline, Sam, Chloe, and Damion; great grandchildren: Deslynn, Brooklyn, Oakley and Bentley; siblings: Betty Hale, Ernie (Bonnie), Sharon Ternes, Nancy Mealman, Patty and Gail; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: wife, Lorraine; granddaughter, Brittany; parents; brother, Kevin; step-father, Carl Tietz; brothers-in-law: Leo Ternes, Gordon Hale, and Ron Mealman; and step-sister, Sandy Blekestad.
