Duane "Duke" Walter Becker

Duane "Duke" Walter Becker, age 66, of St. Peter passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2020.  St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements and a private memorial.

Duke adored his family dearly, especially his four grandsons.  He loved fishing with Pam, even in the cold winter months in the ice house.  Duke also enjoyed cooking, grilling on the deck, and creating sports memorabilia for his grandson's favorite sports team.  In addition, Duke enjoyed watching and cheering on the Twins and Vikings. 

Duke started his career at the Holiday House in his young teens and was very proud to work there for over 20 years.  He looked forward seeing familiar faces, catching up with his regular guests, and working with their long time employees.  Duke continued his career in the restaurant business for many more years.

Duke is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pam; children, Angela (Rory Smith) Becker, Joni (Jeff) Rossiter, and Chad Becker; grandchildren, Reed Becker, Kaden Rossiter, Kaleb Rossiter, and Karter Rossiter; siblings, Michael Becker, and James; brothers-in-law from Nicollet, Chuck (Peggy), Rick (Kathy), Terry (Sandy), LeRoy (Debbie), Barry (Jane), Hugh (Patty), and Dave (from Alaska); sister-in-law from Nicollet, LaNae (Denny) Mettler, as well as many nieces and nephews. Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Leo (Harriet) Becker; Pam’s parents, Cletus (Agnes) Gappa; sister-in-law, Theresa Becker, and brother-in-law, Jay Gappa.
