Gladys Alma Anderson

Gladys A. (Haase) Anderson, age 100, of St. Peter, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter

Funeral service will be held at 11am, Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Peter with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in St. Peter. Please share a memory of Gladys with her family at www.saintpeterfuneralhome.com

Gladys was born November 2, 1924 to Emil and Alma (Kaupa) Haase in Le Sueur County. She was baptized and confirmed at the Bell Church near Waterville and was a member there until moving to St. Peter in 1946, then became a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Peter.

Gladys married Harlan E. Anderson on May 31, 1947 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Jeffers, MN. She was employed at Ben Franklin Store for many years. She was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, associate member of the 2nd Marine Division Association, and American Legion Auxiliary. 

She loved doing craft work, traveling, playing cribbage, sewing, knitting and word search.

Survivors include her son, Rodney Anderson of Georgia; daughter-in-law, Carole Anderson of Georgia; grandson, Shawn and Lynne Price of St. Peter; and great-grandchildren, Nicolas Blonigan and Skyler Price.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Roxie Price in 1988; husband, Harlan, in 2005; and brother, Earl Haase in 2018.
