Gladys Juberien-Erickson, age 90, passed away on October 22, 2024 at Laurels Peak Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral service will be held at 11am, Monday, October 28, 2024 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, St. Peter with visitation starting at 9:30am. Burial will follow at Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato. Please share a memory of Gladys at www.saintpeterfuneralhome.com
She was born on May 24, 1934 to Ernest and Mary Birr. She attended country school and went on to graduate from St. Peter High School. Gladys attended Technical College and worked for several years. She married Wallace Juberien in June of 1957 and her job became helping run the farm. Their marriage was blessed with two children and many happy years working on the farm. Wally died in 1981. She later met and married James Erickson. Gladys was an active member of the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, participating in Altar Guild and Ladies Aide. She enjoyed life to the fullest, whether she was bowling, playing cards, knitting, or spending time with family at the lake cabin.
Gladys is survived by her husband, Jim; son, Greg Juberien (Dawn); daughter, Peggy Stenzel (Jerry); step-daughters, Cheri Erickson and Debbie Drost (Darren); grandchildren, Andrew Juberien, Nicole Munsterman (Jesse), Mollie Juberien (Emilio), Megan Stenzel (Seth), MacKenzie Bernardson (Zach), Alex Bednar, Dalton Drost, Dawson Drost, Deyton Drost, and Hailey Bednar; five great-grandchildren, Melvin and Murphy Munsterman and Anders, Amelia, and Aspyn Bernardson; She also leaves behind many loving brother and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
Gladys is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Wallace; two sisters, Alice Bergeron and Anna Mae Birr; and son-in-law, Jerry Stenzel.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Mayo Hospice for the love and care they showed Gladys.
