Judith M. (Haehn) Beckman

Judith Marie Beckman 1 day from being 83 years old, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024 around 8:00 a.m. at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina. She has been battling lung cancer for the past year and half. 

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2024 at St. Peter Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be later at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis with her late husband Richard E. Beckman.

Judith was born August 26, 1941 in Webster County, Duncombe, Iowa to Gurvis Larue and Mildred Josephine (Windler) Haehn. She lived in Laurens and Humboldt until her mother died in 1953. She moved to Minneapolis, Mn where she attended Jr. and Senior high school. She moved to St. Peter in 1966 and Le Center in 1968. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Central Health Care, later as a waitress at Country Kitchen and Emma Krumbee’s. 

Judith had been married several times and divorced. She had 4 children from these marriages. She was united in marriage to Richard E. Beckman in 1991 in Las Vagas. They lived in rural Le Sueur until they built a new house in St. Peter in 2005. In the beginning of 2020 until October 2022 Judith lived in Chaska, Mn with her son Herb being her caregiver. In October 2022 she moved to Brookdale Senior Living in Eden Prairie, Mn until her passing.

Judith loved spending time with family on holidays, brunch at Whiskey River was a favorite, she loved movies, concerts, sports and Branson, Mo. Her favorite soap opera was The Young and the Restless. She enjoyed watching NCIS, Law and Order, Blue Blood and every Saturday morning watched Lucky Dog with Brandon McMillan. Special times for her was with granddaughter Lexi watching dance programs on T.V. and showing off her beloved fur baby Boo Boo.

Judith is survived by son Herbert (Renea) Rettig from Chaska Mn, daughters Micaela (Randy) Biehn from Le Center Mn, Stacia (Steve) Gorman from Roseville Mn. Grandchildren Amber (David) Keiper, Joseph Biehn, William Biehn, Amanda (Sam) Ranta, Ashley Rohlfing, Randilee (Daniel) Dauk, Kevin Rohlfing, Reeca Rettig, Alexis Hince and Mylee Gorman. Great-grandchildren Paige & Riley Keiper, Koi Rettig, Jonathan Biehn, Dylan & Ravae Biehn, Brody & Kaylee Dauk, Amelia, Annika, Holden & Scarlett Sathoff, Jameson & Wyatt Ranta. Richard’s children, Liann Larson, Kerry Beckman, Rod Beckman, Lorri Hauer and their families. Also, survived by many other friends and family.

Judith was preceded in death by husband Richard in 2007, her mother in 1953, father in 2001, brothers Jerry in 1993 and Dean in 2006, daughter Lezlie Rohlfing in 2023, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
