Judith "Judy" Gail Sannes

Judy Sannes (Boettcher), age 75 of St. Peter, MN and formerly East Grand Forks, MN died Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Ecumen Prairie Hill Memory Care. She was released from her hard-fought battle with Dementia and has been made whole again in heaven. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the St. Peter Lutheran Church, 427 West Mulberry Street, St. Peter with a one hour visitation prior to service at church. Burial will take place at a later date at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Gary Sannes.

Judy was born September 19, 1946 to Aaron and Ruby (Goodman) Boettcher in Minot, North Dakota. She married Gary Sannes on September 13, 1977 in Grand Forks. They adopted twin boys in 1981. Judy had a long career of 25+ years at UND where she was a pioneer in the Students with Disabilities Services Department. She was an avid gardener, church organist, and crossword puzzle lover.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Stacy) Sannes, and Andrew (Jenny) Sannes; grandson, Aedan; brother, Jon (Marcia) Boettcher and sister, Nancy Mulhern.
