Karna C. Arnet
August 22, 1962 — April 18, 2024
Houston, TX
Karna Christine Arnet died suddenly on April 18, 2024, in Houston, Texas, the city where she had lived since graduating from Saint Peter High School in 1980. She was 61 years old. Karna was born to Charles and Diane Arnet (Lind) on August 22, 1962, at Zaragoza Air Force Base (Zaragoza, Spain). Karna is survived in death by her father, Charles David Arnet, her two brothers, Alexander Arnet and Charles William Arnet, and her half-sister, Laura Lee Arnet. She is preceded in death by her mother, Diane Karna Lind (Dvorak), stepfather, Rush Victor Lind, and her partner, Robert Turner.
After high school, Karna worked in the travel industry for twenty years. First as a travel agent in the eighties, then as an airline attendant for Continental and Southwest Airlines during the nineties. Her wonderfully ingratiating and approachable personality was well-suited to this field.
She was a caregiver at heart as well. When her partner, Robert Turner, medically struggled in his last few years, Karna was there to do what she could to provide him with daily care and comfort. She made frequent trips back to Saint Peter over the years to visit her beloved mother, Diane, and stepfather, Rush. And before the pandemic, she provided doggy daycare for friends and neighbors. She also had her dog, a goldendoodle she adored, named Miss Molly.
Karna will be remembered for her fashion savvy and great sense of humor, which she maintained over the years. She loved to hear jokes and was theatrical in the way she told a story. All will dearly miss Karna.
