Keith M. Keogh, 89, died Sunday, June 11th at his home in St. Peter, MN. 

Mass of Christian burial is 1:00pm Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, St. Peter. Visitation 4:00-7:00pm Friday and 11:30am Saturday all at the church. Keith was born on March 21, 1934 in Waseca, MN to Melvin & Celestine (Weaver) Keogh. He grew up in Waterville, MN until 1942, then moved to Le Center, MN. In 1946, the family moved back to Waterville & then to St. Peter in 1949. He graduated from St. Peter High School in 1952. Keith worked for the Nicollet County Highway Department from 1952-1953, then worked for the Minnesota State Highway Department in Mankato, MN. He joined the U.S. Navy Reserves in 1952 & went on active duty in 1954 until 1956 & went back to the highway department in 1956. 

Keith married Kathleen Baker on August 29, 1959 & went on to have 5 children. He then bought the Embassy Bar in 1963. He owned & operated the bar for 40 years. He retired from the bar in 1997. He also worked for Seitzer Ford, Lagers Inc, & Ahrens Heating & Air Conditioning. 

Keith was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, Knights of Columbus #1509 Council, St. Peter's Catholic Church, Charter Member of St. Peter JC's, American Legion St. Peter, VFW of Le Center, Redmen Club of St. Peter, Past President & Member of the St. Peter Ambassadors, St. Peter Chamber of Commerce, St. Mary's Men's Choir, Shoreland Country Club, Auto Restorers Club, St. Peter Investment Club, served on the John Ireland School Board, St. Peter Hospital Advisory Board, St. Peter Tourism Bureau, & was very instrumental in the St. Peter Veterans Memorial being completed. Keith was very proud to live in St. Peter. He even was a part of starting the St. Patrick's Day Celebration in St. Peter in 1978. He was very proud of his Irish Heritage, even visiting Ireland in 2016. He was always willing to help make the community a better city to live in. 

Keith is survived by his wife of almost 64 years, Kathy, daughters, Kim Burg (Doug Geesey), Kelley (Brad) Reese, Katie (Al) Erickson all of St. Peter, MN, Kristine Logvin (Tom Nordstrom) of Pembroke Pines, FL. His grandchildren, Brady (Jess) Reese, Brett Reese, Lauren Erickson, Cody Erickson (Bailee Weis), Dane Logvin, Alyra Logvin, & his great-grandchildren, Aubrey & Ayla. Also, his 2 brothers, Marvin (Pat) & Jerry, many nieces & nephews, & special friend who was like a son, Al (Denise) Aspelund. 

He was preceded in death by his son Kevin in December of 1964, his parents, his in laws Kathryne & Edwin Baker & Louis Nolan, & brother & sister in law, Richard & Lillian Baker.
