Kent Richard Kassulke

Kent Richard Kassulke, age 70, of St. Peter, died Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at River's Edge Hospital in St. Peter. 

Private graveside service will be held at Greenhill Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life from 2-5pm, Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Kent’s home, 1919 W. Kent was born July 25, 1952 in Trimont, MN to Irvin and Elois (Tate) Kassulke. He grew up on a farm in Trimont with three siblings. In 1965, the family sold the farm and moved to St. James. After graduating from St. James High School, Kent began serving in the US Army on January 10, 1972 and was honorably discharged on April 15, 1974. 

He was united in marriage to Delores Curry on November 20, 1976 and resided briefly in Iowa. Shortly after the birth of their first child, Laul, Kent and Delores moved back to Minnesota and settled in St. Peter. Their family was complete with three more children, Lindsay, Erik, and Dylan. 

Following his time in the military, Kent began working for the Brick Layer's union in the Twin Cities. He later owned and operated Kassulke Masonry for over 40 years. He proudly worked alongside his sons, Erik and Dylan. 

Kent is survived by his daughter, Laul (Chad) Maranell of Stillwater and their children, Taylor (Amanda) Maranell and Emily Maranell; daughter, Lindsay Kremmin of Bloomington and her children, Wyatt and Jayde; son, Erik Kassuke of St. Peter; and son, Dylan Kassulke of St. Peter; great-grandchildren, Amarah, Kamden, and Zayden Maranell; brother, Mike (Julie) Kassulke of Monticello; sister, Debra (Kent) Kassulke of Rogers; and four-legged children, Maggie and Nala. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Elois; wife, Delores Kassulke; brother, Jon Kassulke; and mother-in-law, Anna Mae Curry.
