Mary Rose Conlon, age 93, of St. Peter, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024.

Private family services will be held at the Catholic Church of St. Peter. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Catholic Church of St. Peter. St. Peter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Rose was born on May 18, 1931, to John and Lauretta (Flaherty) Meyer in Pioneer, Iowa. She graduated from Humbolt High School, IA and was the salutatorian in her senior class. Mary Rose married Eugene Conlon on November 23, 1949, at St. Johns in Gilmore City, IA.

Mary Rose was a farm wife, and homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, watching Jeopardy, doing crossword puzzles, and watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports; especially football and wrestling in high school and college level. Most importantly Mary Rose was a wonderful mom, and grandma.

Mary Rose is survived by her children, Joe (Kelly) Conlon of St. Peter, Cathy (Tom) Tepley of St. Peter, Sharon (Rick) Prokosch of White Bear Lake, Tom (Ann) Conlon of St. Peter, Dennis (Jill) Conlon of Janesville, MN, and Chris Conlon and Robin of St. Augusta, MN; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Lauretta Carol (Dale) Thompson of Fort Dodge, IA as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mary Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Conlon (2002); two infant sons, Michael, and Timothy; parents, John and Lauretta Meyer, and sister, Margaret Ann Fawaz.

The family would like to thank Benedictine Court, and Mayo Hospice for the wonderful care that they provided.
