Matthew Ryan Bennett

Matthew Ryan Bennett, 42, of St. Peter, MN passed away on December 20, 2024 after a long health battle. 

A Celebration of Life is pending. Interment will be at the Ottawa Cemetery, Le Sueur at a later date. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Matthew was born to Michael and Charlotte (Stotz) Bennett on November 3, 1982 in Mankato, MN. He was a 2002 graduate of St. Peter High School, Business Enterprises for Blind, Leader Dogs. He worked all over Minnesota in various vending capacities. He was an active fundraiser for PAWS and a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. He attended summer school at the State Academy for Blind. Matthew was well known for his riddles and jokes. 

Matthew is survived by his mother, Charlotte; brother, Richard; two nieces, Trisha and Jenna; three nephews, Pat, Brandon, and Brady; three great-nephews; and two great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael; brother, Brian; beloved leader dog, Echo; grandparents, Maxie and Delores (Young) Bennett, William and Charlotte (Fiedler) Stotz; and many extended family members.
