Neil Gregory Heilman

Neil Gregory Heilman, 69, of Cleveland, died Tuesday, December 3 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato. 

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Peter. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Neil was born February 9, 1955 at the St. Peter Hospital to Ed and Joy Heilman. He attended John Ireland School and graduated from St. Peter High School in 1973. He was employed by Erickson Grocery Store, Cotter Company, and LJP in North Mankato until his retirement in March 2024. Neil enjoyed auto racing with sprint car “33” following in his dads footsteps. He enjoyed NASCAR races, fishing, the Vikings, and especially being with family. Neil was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter and the Red Men Club. 

Neil is survived by his mother, Joy. He was preceded in death by his father, Ed; grandparents, Edgar and Alice Heilman and Delbert and Betty Salmonsen; and 14 aunts and uncles; and cousins.
