Pearl (Josephson) Lorentz was born July 19, 1924 in McGregor MN to Joseph and Ida (Abrahamson) Josephson. She graduated from high school in Coleharbor, ND, Northwestern College in Minneapolis and Mounds-Midway School of Nursing in St. Paul. During her 37 years as a registered nurse, she worked at Mounds Park Hospital, Hastings State Hospital, Mineral Springs Sanatorium and retired from St. Peter Regional Treatment Center in 1986.
She had many interests including camping, fishing, gardening, reading, quilting, writing letters, butterflies, and most of all spending time with her family.
Pearl is survived by her son Tim (Heather) Lorentz of North Mankato; son Frank Lorentz of St. Peter; daughter Naomi (Leon) Quiram of St. Peter; daughter Nancy (Tom) Neubert of North Mankato; daughter-in-law Loree Lorentz of St. Peter; grandchildren Gina Quiram (Lukas Johnson); Jason Quiram; Nick (Amanda) Neubert; Melinda (Brooke) Jennings; Timmy, Peter and Danny Lorentz; great grandchildren Persephone Johnson; Owen, Ethan and Isabelle Neubert.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Peter, son Mark, grandson Michael Quiram, great grandson Isaac Neubert, her parents and 7 siblings.
The family is thankful for the support and care of St. Croix Hospice. Their services allowed us to make mom’s final wish, to remain at home, come true.
There will be a private family service. In lieu of flowers donations are preferred and can be sent to Diabetes Research Institute, 200 S. Park Road, Suite 100, Hollywood, FL 33021.
