Rita Kay Stoffel, age 62, of St Peter, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024, peacefully at Hope Residence in Belle Plaine MN.
Funeral Mass for Rita will be held at Church of Nativity-Cleveland, 11:00am on Friday, October 18, 2024 with visitation at 9:30am. In honor of Rita please wear your favorite sports shirt or tie dye shirt. Share a memory or story of Rita at www.saintpeterfuneralhome.com.
Rita was Born March 2, 1962, in Le Sueur Hospital to James and Mary (Bisek) Stoffel. After graduation, Rita lived with her parents and 5 siblings on the family farm in St. Peter. Rita participated in many amazing transition services in Le Sueur County throughout her life. Rita was part of the LeCenter cleaning crew through LCDS where she worked at the Post Office, O’Keefe Meats, and St. Mary Catholic Church, and many more. Rita also enjoyed working at Potential Unlimited and Unique Abilities of Waterville participating in many outings, art projects, dances, shopping, being with friends, and talking about the Vikings.
Left to cherish her memory are her father, James Stoffel; siblings, Karen (Jimmy) Rogers, Steve Stoffel, Scott (Colleen) Stoffel, Nancy (Mark) Hintgen and Debbie (Jamie) Domras and nieces and nephews: Nathan (Nikki Longenecker) Stoffel, Bradley (Molly) Stoffel, Justin Schabert (Sam Hantge), Trevor Schabert, Alec Rogers, Angel Stoffel, Shane Rogers, Erin Hintgen, Aiden Domras and Riley Domras; and great nieces and nephews. Rita is preceded in death by her mother Mary; nephew Tyler Rogers; and grandparents.
A special thank you to the caregivers at Hope Residence within The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine, St. Croix Hospice, and many others throughout her amazing life.
