Sue M. Wolfe

Sue Marie Wolfe, age 67 of St. Peter, passed away from Alzheimer's Disease on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at home with her husband at her side.

Sue, the daughter of William "Bucky" and Charlotte (Marka) Walter was born on January 26, 1956 in Mankato. When Sue was growing up, she lived next to the rec park, also called Veterans Memorial Park, where she loved to swim at the outdoor pool and ice skate in winter. Sue attended John Ireland Parochial School through the eighth grade, where she once considered becoming a Catholic Nun. Sue then graduated from St. Peter High School where she was an honor student and varsity cheerleader. In 1973, while working at the Holiday House, she met her future husband, Donald Wolfe, and they married June 20, 1981. They had three children: Sara, Jacob and Matthew. Sue was proud of all of them. After high school, Sue worked for Nicollet County Bank, and the last 30 years with the State of Minnesota, retiring in 2018. Sue enjoyed crocheting, knitting, crafts, vacations, camping, and watching the Wild, Vikings, Timberwolves and Twins.

Sue is survived by her husband; sons: Jacob (Shelley), and Matthew Wolfe; siblings: Becky (Al) Braun, Willy Walter both of St. Peter, and Carol Walter of Colorado; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by daughter Sara Marie; parents William and Charlotte Walter; In-laws Bud and Rose Wolfe; sister-in-law Roxanne Stack; and brother-in-law Jim Wolfe.
