Thomas Roessler, age 72, of St. Peter passed away on August 16, 2023, at his home with his family by his side.
Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter, Minnesota. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial with Military Honors will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery in St. Peter. Arrangements by St. Peter Funeral Home.
Thomas was born May 3, 1951, at St. Lucas Deaconess Hospital in Faribault, MN. He was the fourth child born to John and Genevieve (Jewison) Roessler. He graduated from Waterville Elysian High School in 1969. He then attended Mankato State College, Mankato, MN and served in the United States Army Reserves, Faribault, MN.
On May 13, 1972, Tom was united in marriage to Patricia Denise Krohn. They were blessed with three children Allison, Tommy and Abby.
He was an active member in many organizations including, American Legion, American Legion Honor Guard, Last Man’s Club, Redman Club, Knights of Columbus and was a volunteer with the St. Peter Fire Department for 33 years.
Tom retired from All American Foods Inc. in Mankato after 26 years and looked forward to his retirement of hunting, fishing, and time at the cabin.
He is survived by his wife, Patty of 51 years, their children and spouses and grandchildren. Allison and Brian Schilla (Alex) of St. Peter, Tommy and Stephanie Roessler (Clay and Ty Roessler, Ethan, Aubree and Ashton Volk) of St. Peter, Abby and Steve Edgar (Cooper) of Farmington, sister, Patricia Nusbaum of Elysian, brother John (Carol) Roessler of Elysian, sister-in-law Karen Roessler of Waseca and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Genevieve Roessler, brother Richard Roessler, brother-in-law Jerome Nusbaum, nephew Lynn Roessler, Patty’s parents Barbara Ruth (Coty) Krohn and Orville and Barbara Jean (Erkel) Krohn and sister-in-law Deborah Krohn Behr.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Ecumen Hospice or the St. Peter Fire Department Relief Association in memory of Thomas Roessler.
