Thomas Patrick Stienessen

Comforted by the love that he shared with us, the Stienessen family announces the passing of Thomas "Tom" Patrick Stienessen on September 13th, 2023. 

Tom is lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Ann Stienessen; children Aric (Lisa-Marie) Stienessen, Alison Stienessen and Aaron (Katharine Holder) Stienessen; grandchildren Nathan, William, Adam, JoAnna, and Mark.

Born in Marshall, MN on March 6th, 1946 to William and Ruth Stienessen, Tom lived his young life with his nine siblings, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends nearby. Before earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Finance from Mankato State University in 1971, Tom served our country as a Sergeant in the Army in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969. 

All that he did, he did with integrity and compassion. When his time came to live with the Lord, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him and those of us who remain to carry out his good works for him. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle and will be missed dearly. He will be remembered for all the love he shared with his family and friends. 

The family will honor Tom's memory at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter with visitation services Thursday, September 21st from 4:00 - 7:00pm. Rosary Prayers are Friday, September 22nd at 10:30am with Funeral Mass, Friday September 22nd at 11:00am, followed by a luncheon.
