Veleta J. Bartlett

Veleta J. Bartlett, age 91 of St. Peter, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023.

Memorial service is 11:00am Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at First Presbyterian Church, Kasota with burial at Kasota Hill Cemetery.

Veleta Jane was born to Marjorie Johnson on July 10, 1932 in St. Peter and is a graduate of St. Peter High School. She married Kenneth Bartlett in 1966 and they enjoyed life together until his passing in 1997. Veleta worked at ADC Products in St. Peter, did housekeeping at Gustavus Adolphus College, and was the “Beer Lady” at the Arlington Raceway. She was a member of the Red Hats, Kasota Booster Club and American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards and writing the Kasota News.

Left to remember Veleta are her children: Linda (Dana) Skroch, Joanne (Joe) Derner, Janis Bartlett (Roger), Lorrie Zacharias, and Susan (Bob) Allen; 15 Grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; siblings: Eldon, Duane, Nancy, and Caroline; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded by infant daughter Linda, husband Ken, and daughter Cheryle Emerson.
