John "Jack" Friedrichs

John “Jack” Thomas Friedrichs, age 75, of St. Peter passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022.  Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at the St. Peter Funeral Home. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., on Monday, June 13, 2022 at the Catholic Church of St. Peter. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Jack was born August 23, 1946 in Mankato, MN to William A. and Anna M. (Weingartz) Friedrichs. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1964. Jack began his career in 1966 while working for Tate Construction. He spent 40 years as a proud, hardworking bricklayer. It was a source of pride for him to be able to build the home he and his wife raised their family in. 

Jack enjoyed spending time with family and friends and hosted many family gatherings over the years.  He was fond of sitting around the table playing cards (sometimes quite vocally), and in his later years was even known to enjoy a lively sing-a-long!

Jack was an avid coin collector, and spent countless hours looking for his next great find. 

Jack’s love of Budweiser led to many friendships over the years. If not at home, he could be found with his friends at The Flame Bar in St. Peter.

Jack is survived by his 4 children: Chris “CJ” (Kate) Friedrichs, Stacie Friedrichs, Angie Voss, and Bryan (Jenene) Friedrichs; 7 grandchildren; siblings, Carol Brickson, Duane (Sue) Friedrichs, Betty Davis, Chuck (Bonnie) Friedrichs, Diane Stocker, and Karen Williams. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Friedrichs; his parents; siblings, Ken Friedrichs, Jim Friedrichs, Gary Friedrichs, and Bill Friedrichs.
