William "Bill" McCabe

Was born on January 19,1952 to Rita and Emmet McCabe. After graduating from Cleveland high school in 1970, he enlisted in the service from 1971 to 1973 and was stationed in Germany. After coming home he went to Mankato State, receiving his bachelor’s degree. He later met his wife Susan (Rohlfing) McCabe and they were married on May 20, 1981. He and his brothers, Gary and Mike, started the business Home Insulating Specialists where he warmed the hearts and homes of many. Bill was a man who loved all things outdoors and could likely be found hunting, fishing, golfing or spending time with his grandkids. If he wasn’t doing one of those things he was playing pool or helping others in the best way he knew how. He was a meticulous handyman who would help anyone with any job and you knew the quality of work was going to be top notch.

Bill is survived by his three children: Nicholas McCabe (Alicia) of Mankato, Miranda Bode (Aaron) of North Mankato, Lucas McCabe (Brittany) of Mankato; grandkids Hailey and Emmalee McCabe, Julian McCabe, Harper and Cooper Bode; his mother Rita McCabe; brothers: Gary (Joni), Mike, Rich (Colleen), Russ (Ann), Randy (Lori), Tim, Chris, Don (Ginger), Doug; sisters: Diane (Tim), Peggy (John), Kim (Keith), and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Susan and father Emmet McCabe. 

Bill passed away while hunting with family on Friday, October 8, 2021 in Rugby, ND at age 69.

Visitation will be at the St. Peter Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00pm on Thursday, October 14, 2021. Mass will be at Marysburg Church at 10:30am Friday, October 15^th with visitation at 9:00am. He will be laid to rest next to his loving wife Susan at Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland.
